Academy of Management Professional Development Workshop 2011.

San Antonio

Saturday, August 13, 2011 800:00 AM - 11:00:00 AM, Grand Hyatt, Travis C.

Following the success of this Workshop theme in 2009 and 2010, in San Antonio we explored in greater depth the practical, theoretical, methodological, and pedagogical challenges in managing change in extreme contexts.  There is a clear shift to the generation of a relatively small number of empirically-based case studies.

Presentations were made by Clare Kelliher, Dominic Elliott, Martina Linnenluecke and David Denyer.  The Discussants were Allan Macpherson, Elena Antonacopoulou, Sotirios E. Paroutis and Robert Gephart.  Over 30 people attended the workshop and engaged in a stimulating debate.
