Jill Chapman CPsychol. MSc. B.A.
Jill has been qualified as an Occupational Psychologist since 1999 and gained Chartered Status from the British Psychological Society in 2004. Her career has spanned from working in-house within a global organisation, to assisting with the recruitment and development of new Directors within a public sector organisation. Jill holds Level A and Level B qualifications and is trained in a wide range of psychometric instruments, including the Occupational Personality Questionnaire (OPQ32), MBTI, Hogan Development Survey (HDS), Wave, Dimensions, Cognitive Process Profile, Myers Briggs Type Indicator and Motivational Styles Questionnaire. Jill is also a qualified trainer and has completed a certificate in Coaching for Business Effectiveness.
During the past five years Jill has worked with public and private sector organisations at senior executive and board levels to recruit, develop, support and encourage high performance leadership behaviours. Since becoming a chartered psychologist, Jill has focused her career on supporting individuals using feedback and coaching. She focuses on assisting individuals to gain greater self awareness and career satisfaction whilst also improving business performance and results. Jill is also a member of the Association for Coaching and a Principal Member of the Association of Business Psychologists.
As a Senior Consultant Jill had full responsibility to manage organisational change and assessment projects for a wide range of clients. Jill’s projects have included designing bespoke solutions for retail, banking, public sector, healthcare and hospitality clients’ specific requirements; designing development programmes for senior managers incorporating the use of suitable psychometric instruments; providing team-building events for newly formed and existing leadership teams and designing and delivering the assessment and recruitment processes and materials for a wide range of clients. Jill has designed many organisational competency frameworks that have been used to align all selection, development and performance measurement practices. |

Elaine Down BSc, MSc, C.Psychol.
Elaine Down is a Chartered Occupational Psychologist with over 19 years experience of assessing, selecting and developing people at work. Her consultancy experience covers the entire recruitment and development cycle starting with competency design and job analysis. Elaine has designed and delivered a wide range of assessment and development centres working in close partnership with client organisations to provide optimal solutions. Tailoring existing tools or designing bespoke ones are further skill areas she can provide and includes the development of psychometrically robust instruments and simulation exercises, such as group exercises, role plays and presentations. In addition to giving advice and auditing existing recruitment and development programmes, Elaine has been instrumental in designing and delivering leadership and management programmes covering skills ranging from diversity to change management. Furthermore Elaine has successfully helped organisations align their aims and visions to leadership behaviours and has delivered a variety of change programmes. |

Peter Fennah MA (Hons), MSc Chartered Occupational Psychologist
Formerly Director of Cranfield’s Career Dept. he raised its profile to 7th in the World for placement success (Economist, 2007-8). He is passionate about assisting people to develop their leadership skills and make effective transitions on a personal, career and organisational basis. He is a career and executive coach within the Private and Public Sectors providing performance coaching to divisional managers, one star military and in-depth psychometric testing including Chief Executive selection. His early career included organisational change programmes with FTSE 100 petrochemical and financial institutions. Peter has also designed and managed over 450 assessment and development centres being qualified to give feedback on the MBTI steps I & II, OPQ, WAVE, 16PF5, FIRO–B, Hogan Personality Inventory & Morrisby battery. |

Richard Mechen
Richard is a Chartered Occupational Psychologist whose particular areas of specialism include; executive profiling, assessment and development centres, recruitment and selection, executive coaching and career guidance. After achieving his first degree in Psychology, he gained his MSc Occupational Psychology from Birkbeck College, University of London. He is an experienced trainer and assessor, and has British Psychological Society level A & B accreditation. To support his work in coaching, he is an NLP master practitioner, trained in CBT and member of CIPD and UKPTS.
His early career was in customer service and quality management with Marconi, followed by experience in local government. He then spent eleven years in British Telecom covering areas such as graduate recruitment, management selection and assessment, management development and training, and the introduction of new technology into the business. He supported a number of leadership initiatives and had significant responsibilities leading a large team of occupational psychologists delivering HR services across the organisation. His last few years in BT were spent working on quality initiatives and managing the people aspects of a major restructuring and downsizing operation in the business. After time as Head of Training and Development at British Standards Institution, he established himself in consultancy where he has led a number of projects covering assessment, e-recruitment, team building, coaching and executive profiling. He has wide experience both in developing assessment and development centre processes and training managers in assessment techniques. Executive coaching is a key aspect of his work and in addition to his individual coaching clients, he has worked alongside in-house HR teams to establish coaching systems. In addition to private sector clients, his work covers local and national government and he supports various aspects of the UK government’s international development work. He has a particular area of interest is developing leadership potential through coaching.
Recent projects have included executive profiling of individuals for board level positions in the NHS, Arts Council, and Old Mutual, teambuilding work with Royal Mail, recruitment and development centres for a range of FTSE 100 companies, executive coaching of senior government officials, and preparing staff for difficult overseas assignments (e.g. Afghanistan). He occasionally lectures on MSc courses, at CIPD forums and at BAC conferences. His work with public and private sector clients includes; government, banking, financial services, telecoms, IT, utilities, and leisure. His clients include Department for International Development, ED&F Man, National Australia Group, Crown Prosecution Service, Royal Mail, Lloyds/TSB, and the Scottish Executive and he has supported projects with Sony, Mott MacDonald and Agip, His international experience particularly covers Africa and India. His non work activities include sports, and he is an accredited Tai Chi instructor. |

Kate Netherton
Kate is a Chartered Occupational Psychologist with 20 years corporate experience in the field of Business Psychology ranging from development and training through to selection and assessment, change management, employee attitudes and latterly, talent management.
Kate has significant experience in designing and directing both large-scale development centres and assessment centres, training assessors, of working with senior managers on their development, feedback and the use of psychometrics to guide personal development. She has counselling qualifications, is an accredited career coach, and her own professional development currently includes training as a group facilitator.
Kate was latterly Talent Manager at Group Level for British Telecom; her key role was identifying BT’s future Directors; she led BT’s Potential Senior Executive Programme, where she worked with Directors and external consultants to provide an international and externally validated process to enhance the career development of the organisation’s top talent. She is now working as an independent Occupational Psychologist working on the development of senior managers, for example, development centres and coaching for a multinational engineering consultancy. |

Florence Price M.Sc. (Psych)
Florence is a practising Occupational Psychologist with international experience within France, Australia and the UK. She has a demonstrated pattern of successful involvement within a variety of business and public sectors, as well as NGOs. Florence has been working in the field of assessment and professional learning & development consulting since 2004, she offers bilingual services (French) and specialises in Talent Management. Florence’s strong analytical mind is supported by a scientific approach and a natural, relaxed and interactive coaching style. Her strength is her ability to deliver tangible bottom-line results through the development and implementation of HR solutions in complex business environments. Florence is a full member of the Association of Business Psychologists. |

Radhika Seth
Radhika worked in Assessment and Development departments within the airline industry, retail, and banking, where she gained a range of skills and experiences that provided a solid foundation for her to move in to the arena of consultancy. Since then, she has worked across the public, private and voluntary sector at all levels, specialising in Assessment and Selection, Development, Executive Coaching and assessor training. As a preferred consultant for two major Government Directorates, Radhika provides very active and involved support as a Senior Diversity Advisor and Senior Assessor as part of a recruitment and development team, often running workshops from the perspective of the delegate, the assessors, and the organisation. She was also the Independent panel member who introduced change in the structure and concept of on site learning and medical services provided to the public, which is the first of its’ kind in the UK.
Her main focus and specialist area is working with people to support their development and provide structure to aspirations for current and future leaders, helping to explore, challenge, and empower them to enhance their own potential in a safe environment. Her work within in this field has mainly been at Board, Director, and Senior Management levels.
Radhika has designed, run, and assessed in over 500 assessment and development centres with particular use of psychometrics and 360° feedback tools. She is qualified to use The Occupational Personality Questionnaire (OPQ32), MBTI, Hogan Development Survey (HDS), Wave, Dimensions, and The McQuaig Job Survey.
Radhika holds a B.Sc (Hons) in Psychology, an M.Sc in Occupational & Organisational Psychology, and is Level A & B qualified. She is a member of The British Psychological Society, The Association of Business Psychologists and sits on the Board of The London HR Connection (part of CIPD). She has also been granted the OCPA standard of qualification by the Commissioner for Public Appointments.
In addition to her academic background, Radhika is also trained in using alternative approaches to stress management including 5-point acupuncture. With the use of her Asian languages, she is a voluntary radio presenter for an International radio station based in West London, where her insight in to the difficulties faced between balancing Eastern and Western cultures has added significant benefit, particularly in helping to re-educate and challenge stereotypes, health concerns, poverty issues and domestic inequalities.
In her consultancy role, Radhika has worked with over 120 organisations across the U.K., Europe, Middle East, Asia, and Africa. Being a consultant has provided a wealth of exposure to many types of industries, organisational cultures, and diverse needs. Recent industries she has worked in have been UK Security (domestic and foreign), IT/Data cleansing, Telecommunications, Public Protection, Home Entertainment, and Education. |

Simon Watkins BA (Hons) CMCIPD
Originally from a Human Resources background, Simon’s consulting career has ranged widely over 12 years. Immersed in the human capital and talent implications of organisational change programmes, he has led projects on performance management, executive assessment and development, leadership development and succession planning. He works widely with individual leaders, leadership teams, and as an executive coach.
His recent experience includes an international dimension, having coached the top executives of a major telecomms company in Saudi Arabia and senior managers in a significant leisure sector organisation in Hong Kong. Prior to joining the Associate Faculty at Cranfield Business School, Simon was a Managing Consultant with SHL, where he delivered a wide range of HR consultancy and training interventions. In his early career, he was a HR Manager with a financial services company, a Personnel manager for a College of Nursing, and at the start of his career, a Personnel Officer with a Swiss owned manufacturing company. Organisations for whom he has consulted in recent years include Aegon Scottish Equitable, Sony Corporation, Centrica, The Financial Services Authority, The Department for Constitutional Affairs, The Hong Kong Jockey Club, South West Trains, BT Group.
Simon holds a degree in English and American Literature. He is a Chartered Member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development and holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Personnel Management. |
